The auditors discussed international practices related to IPSAS standards 03 July, 2023

With the support of the World Bank, within the scope of the technical assistance project of the "Economic Governance and Fiscal Accountability" programme of the European Union, a seminar on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) was convened for the auditors of the State Audit Office.

World Bank experts shared their international experience about IPSAS standards with 27 auditors of the SAO.

The seminar was led by Wayne Bartlett, an independent consultant of financial management in the public sector, and Zurab Mamukelashvili, an audit expert.

Within the framework of the project, professional trainings also include sharing procedures related to preparatory work for the audit of consolidated financial statements and the best practices of strengthening quality control in IT audit.

Professional development project for the auditors of the State Audit Office is being implemented since 2022, and more than 100 auditors have already undergone various professional trainings.
