The audit results of the 2021 financial statements of the ministries have been discussed at the Standing Working Group on the Audit Reports in the Parliament.
The State Audit Office presented the findings of the audits conducted in nine ministries to the members of the Working Group and the auditees the shortcomings in asset management, requirements and obligations, accounting and reporting and general internal control mechanisms.
In the framework of financial audits, for improving the performance and financial accounting of ministries, state auditors issued a total of 105 recommendations. The audits of the financial statements covered approximately 90% of state budget payments and with six negative and three conditional conclusions.
Giorgi Cholokava, Chief Auditor, from the General State Services Audit Department, presented the audit results to the MPs. Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili, as well as representatives of audit departments of the SAO and ministries answered the questions of the MPs.
