The International Monetary Fund fiscal transparency evaluations mission held a meeting at the State Audit Office.
The mission was interested in the reforms implemented in the State Audit Office in the field of public finance management, reports on the state budget and systemic issues, as well as the results achieved in the country in terms of fiscal transparency and existing challenges.
The mission of the International Monetary Fund will hold meetings with various agencies, after which a document will be developed, reflecting the assessment of fiscal transparency with various indicators. The evaluation report will also reflect the recommendations of the IMF mission.
The last time IMF assessed Georgia's fiscal transparency in 2017 and issued a report.
