The auditors presented the IT audit report to the members of the Parliament 25 April, 2023

The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in the Parliament of Georgia discussed the discussed the Performance Audit Report – „Providing effective and safe remote working environment in Public Sector“.

The report includes governance decisions made by three agencies (Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, and National Agency of Public Registry) to switch to remote working mode during the pandemic and the effectiveness of their implementation.

Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of the Performance Audit Department, introduced the findings and recommendations of the report to the members of the Working Group. The recommendations refer staffing management with qualified and competent personnel in order to improve the IT service continuity and the development of policies to insure information security risks.

The auditees partially presented the plan of implementation of the recommendations. According to the ministries involved in the audit process, a plan of implementation of the recommendations is being prepared and will be submitted to the State Audit Office and the Parliament of Georgia for monitoring in the near future.
