Workshop related to strategic audit planning was has been hosted in the Hague for the representatives of the supreme audit institutions of Eastern European countries.
Within the framework of the Constituency programme funded by the Government of the Netherlands, representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia, the Netherlands and Georgia participated in a three-day working meeting in The Hague.
Various mechanisms of the SAI’s strategic planning and risk assessment have been discussed. Participants visited the Central Bank of the Netherlands discussing the issues related to the risk assessment and strategic planning. The meetings were also convened at the Research and Analysis Department of the Netherlands House of Representatives, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Audit Court, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The members of the delegations shared their experiences of strategic planning, risk assessment and audit selection methods over the meetings.
The workshop was concluded with the recap of the knowledge and experience.
The workshop in The Hague funded by the Government of the Netherlands was the fifth consecutive meeting of the project, preceded by a series of online webinars, with the Georgian SAI having been involved over five years in the Constituency Program.
Tsotne Karkashadze, the Head of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department, Mariam Danelia, the Leading Analyst of the Strategic Analysis Unit, and Salome Verulashvili, the Analyst of the Strategic Analysis Unit, participated in the workshop.
