The State Audit Office, as part of the Georgian government delegation, participated in the working meeting of the thematic group of the Sub-Committee on Economic and other Sectoral Cooperation of the European Union in Brussels.
At the meeting, the Georgian delegation informed the representatives of the Sub-Committee about the state of fulfillment of the obligations arising from the association agreement: the progress of reforms in the financial and economic sector, the state of approximation of the Georgian legislation with the European Union acquis in financial services; Also the priority measures to be implemented from 2023, including in terms of public finance management.
The State Audit Office provided the representatives of the Sub-Committee with information on the fulfillment of the goals defined by the SAO’s strategy, as well as the results of the SAI PMF, the framework for evaluating the activities of supreme audit institutions conducted in 2022. The Sub-Committee received information on the respective progress, on the basis of which a report will be prepared.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Bank, State Audit Office, Ministry of Finance, National Statistics Office, the Insurance Supervision Agency and the Deposit Insurance Agency participated in the working meeting of the Sub-Committee.
