The Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili presented the 2021 Annual Report of the State Audit Office to the Parliament.
In 2021, 49 audits were conducted - 11 financial, 22 compliance, 16 performance audits. The monetary coverage rate of the consolidated budget increased from 81% (2017) to 90% (2021), meeting the coverage standard set by the international best practice (PEFA) for the first time. Around 1,500 recommendations were issued from the 49 audits conducted in 2021.
