The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in Parliament discussed thee performance audit reports.
Giorgi Kapanadze, the Head of the Performance Audit Department within the State Audit Office, presented the findings and recommendations of the audit regarding "The Measures for the Development of the Small and Medium-Sized Businesses" to the MPs and the auditees.
Within the scope of the report, two recommendations provide detailed analysis of existing needs for access to financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), improvement of the program with best practices, and facilitating the collection of relevant data in cooperation with the stakeholders.
Giorgi Kekelishvili, Head of the General State Services Audit Department, presented the performance audit reports regarding "Professional Development of Public Servants" and "Strengthening Relations with the Georgian Diaspora" to the members of the Working Group.
For efficient management of the professional development of civil servants, the State Audit Offie has issued five recommendations, that would contribute to the compliance of professional development plans with the strategic development goals and the improvement of the development/implementation process of methodologies for determining professional development needs.
Following those five recommendations for the implementation of the projects tailored to the needs of the diaspora, it is advisable to conduct research using electronic platforms, ensure the principle of transparency for awarding grants to migrants, and to put together necessary measures for the introduction of the diaspora network.
Davit Gogichaishvili, Deputy Auditor General, fully answered the questions of the members of the Working Group together with the auditors. Auditees participating in the meeting presented the statuses of implementation of recommendations as well.
