The Chairman of the Parliament introduced the new Auditor General to the staff 21 September, 2022

Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili introduced the newly appointed Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili to the staff of the State Audit Office.

Following the Chairman of the Parliament, the new Auditor General is a professional and integral civil servant with a long term experience of working in public service and detailed knowledge related to the field.

Shalva Papuashvili acknowledged the former Auditor General, Irakli Mekvabishvili for his work and emphasized that the Office has turned into successful institution under his leadership.

The Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili noted that he will be drawing on his knowledge and experience to make this institution even more efficient and successful.

Tsotne Kavlashvili has many years of experience working in the financial sector. Before being elected to the position of the Auditor General, he worked as the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Head of the Treasury Service. He has worked on various positions in the Ministry of Finance since 2006.

The new Auditor General received parliamentary candidacy approval on 20 September, having replaced the Irakli Mekvabishvili in the position of the General Auditor.
