Financial audit reports of eight ministries have been discussed in the Parliament 17 May, 2022

The SAO presented to the Standing Working Group MPs the audit findings of eight ministries. The shortcomings identified includes asset management, requests and obligations, accounting and general control mechanisms.

In the framework of financial audits, to eliminate the existing shortcomings of ministries, state auditors issued 85 recommendations. Approximately 91% of consolidated budget payments have been covered by the audits of the 2020 financial statements.

Giorgi Khitarishvili, Deputy Head of Defense, Public Order and Security Audit Department, presented the audit results to the MPs, proceeded by discussion from the auditees about the audit implementation stages.

The monthly meeting of the Parliamentary group has been convened for the fourth time this year.
