Cooperation with Supreme Audit Institution of India 20 April, 2022

The State Audit Office has launched its cooperation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) on quality assurance of Information Technology (IT) Audit.

In an online meeting, representatives of the Audit Quality Assurance Department shared their experience about the quality assurance standards and mechanisms of performance audit with their Indian counterparts. 

The meeting participants also discussed opportunities to share the experience of the Indian SAI. Being acquainted with the current practices, C&AG India will identify the needs and challenges of our SAI regarding quality assurance of IT Audit. As a result, it will be possible to organize training programmes with engagement of a qualified Indian expert.

The SAI of India has substantial experience of conducting and quality assurance of the IT Audits. C&AG India as a chair of the INTOSAI IT Audit Working Group (ITWG) promotes sharing best practices and prospects of IT Audit to the members of the working group.

Representatives of the State Audit Office has participated in various international training programs of the International Centre for Information Systems and Audit (iCISA), the focal international training institute of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, such as: Performance Audit, Environment Audit, IT audit, Audit of Public Sector Enterprises, Financial Audit, Audit of Social Sector. 

State Audit Office of Georgia has been cooperating with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) since 2010.
