The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in Parliament discussed two audit reports.
The findings and recommendations of the 2017-2018 Compliance Audit Report on the Transfer of State Property in Exchange of Investment Liabilities of the LEPL State Property Agency, has been presented to the MEPs by Tornike Shermadini, Head of the Economic Audit Department,The presentation contained the findings which have been identified during the audit of "Enterprise Georgia" and other programs. Working group members and auditees with differing views on the findings and recommendations, have agreed that the object of the audit - the Ministry of Economy will be devising a schedule for the implementation of audit recommendations.
The members of the working group also discussed the Audit on the Effectiveness of Access to Services Provided by State Health Programmes. The MEPs had questions about the findings reflected in the report, which were answered by Mariam Zaalishvili, Deputy Head of the Social Sector Audit Department, and the auditees. The Ministry of Health and its subordinate LEPLs agreed with the recommendations in the audit report, with some of them have already been implemented.
The Deputy Auditors Generals Mr Davit Gogichaishvili and Ms Ekaterine Ghazadze answered the questions of the MEPs.
