State Audit Office in the EUROSAI’s 30th Anniversary Publication 28 March, 2022

The European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) has published its commemorative publication dedicated to its 30th anniversary of its foundation. The publication includes its outline on the multilateral cooperation between EUROSAI and the State Audit Office.

The State Audit Office actively participates in parallel audits and various thematic meetings implemented by the EUROSAI as a member of the EUROSAI working groups (Information Technologies (ITWG), Environmental Auditing (WGEA), Disasters and Catastrophes, EUROSAI Network for Ethics (N.ET) and Task Force on Municipality Audit (TFMA)).

As the Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili noted – “We see the EUROSAI as a cornerstone for the European SAIs to strengthen their institutional and human capacities following recommendations, expert assistance and guidance from the international audit community”.

Georgia joined the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) in 1993, which now has 50 members.
