The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in the Parliament convened its second session this year where the auditors from the State Audit Office submitted two performance audit reports.
Giorgi Kekelishvili, Head of the General State Services Audit Department, presented the performance audit report regarding the state grants awarded in 2017-2019 to the members of the working group. The audit has been conducted in public institutions of eight various profiles with varying findings as well as issued recommendations. The auditees discussed the status of implementation of the recommendations.
Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of the Performance Audit Department of the State Audit Office, presented a report on the “Performance Audit of Human Resources Management in the Public Sector” to the members of the working group. Particularly interesting to the members of the Parliamentary Working Group were the findings on the practice of accounting for public servants. The audit had three objects all of them agreeing with the findings and recommendations reflected in the report.
Davit Gogichaishvili, Deputy Auditor General, fully answered the questions of the members of the working group together with the auditors. MEPs asked questions to the representatives of the ministries and their subordinate LEPLs regarding the audit findings. The auditees discussed the facing challenges in implementing recommendations.
