The State Audit Office (SAO) starting its cooperation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) on quality assurance of Information Technology (IT) audit, hosted the first online meeting covering exchange of practices on audit quality assurance.
The state auditors received information about the experiences of the Supreme Audit Institution of India and its International Centre for Information Systems and Audit (iCISA) about conducting IT audits. Drawing on the IT audit, that the SAO has been conducting since 2014, to further strengthen the IT audit quality assurance function, day-to-day practices and stages of quality control and assurance was particularly important for the Georgian auditors.
The meeting from the Indian SAI was attended by the management of iCISA - K Srinivasan, Priya Parikh, Vikash Kumar and the Head of Audit Quality Assurance Department, Alexander Gogolashvili, Deputy Head, Giorgi Alasania, Head of Performance Audit Department, Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of IT Audit Division, and Head of International and Donor Relations Division, Nino Kereselidze from the Georgian SAI.
