The representatives of the State Audit Office (SAO) participated in the 5th annual meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Big Data (WGBD) in 2021. The main topic of the meeting was the acquisition of big data for financial and performance audits, quality control, processing and analysis using innovative technologies.
The SAO joined the working group in 2019 and is actively involved in updating current international standards in big data analysis. The working group established in 2017 in accordance with the strategic plan of INTOSAI, aims to identify the challenges and opportunities of supreme audit institutions in the field of big data, to gather knowledge about big data audit and to strengthen cooperation in this regard.
The meeting from the side of the SAO was attended by the representatives of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department: Head of the State Budget Analysis Division, Lasha Kelikhashvili, and the Analyst, Ketevan Kakhidze.
