The representatives of the State Audit Office (SAO) participated in the 14th online INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee Meeting 2021 sessions, organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The steering committee is INTOSAI’s highest forum for donor cooperation, which aims to provide strategic support to supreme audit institutions (SAIs). The role of IDI in strengthening the capacities of SAIs, improving assistance measures, development of coordination and response to current challenges were discussed over the sessions.
During the meeting, IDI representatives also reviewed the Global SAI Stocktaking Report 2020 for preparing joint assistance projects.
The meetings, attended by the representatives of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department and the International and Donor Relations Division from the side of SAO, has facilitated the exchange of auditory experience gained by the SAIs and continuous involvement of the Georgian SAI in prospective initiatives.
