Over the online meeting between the representatives of the State Audit Office (SAO) and the Netherlands Court of Audit (NCA), the progress achieved in the field of quality assurance in the SAO and the changes introduced, based on the professional expertise shared by the NCA over the years has been discussed.
The quality assurance team of the SAO reviewed the documents, current practices and prospects created following the implementation of the recommendations of the NCA experts. At the meeting, the Dutch colleagues exceptionally noted that Georgia is one of the most successful examples of the international assistance in the practice of bolstering the quality assurance function. The Dutch colleagues thus expressed their readiness for future cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the quality experts from the NCA, Willemien Roenhorst and Erik Israel, and from the SAO’s side the Head of the Audit Quality Assurance Department, Alexander Gogolashvili, Deputy Head of the department, Giorgi Alasania, Leading Auditor, Taia Tsiskarauli, Head of International and Donor Relations Division, Nino Kereselidze and Analyst-Assistant, Mariam Mardaleishvili.
The exchange of best practices and professional cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions within the framework of the “Constituency Program of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands” has already been carried out for 4 years.
