The audit reports on healthcare were discussed at the working meeting of the Parliament reviewing the audit reports of the State Audit Office (SAO).
Findings and recommendations of the audit reports of the “State Program for Provision of Medications for Chronic Diseases”, LLC Academician Nikoloz Kipshidze Central University Clinic and “Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment” were introduced to the group members and representatives of the auditees by the auditors.The members of the working group addressed the representatives of the auditees and the SAO clarifying the issued recommendations.
The meeting particularly focused on the action plans for the implementation of the recommendations by the audited entities and, in some cases, the status of their implementation.
The reports were presented to the members of the working group by the Head of the Economic Activities Audit Department of the SAO - Tornike Shermadini, the Head of the Performance Audit Department - Giorgi Kapanadze, and the Head of the Social Sector Audit Department - Zaza Shekiladze.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Auditor General Davit Gogichaishvili, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Tamar Gabunia and representatives of the audited entitites.
