The auditors of the State Audit Office (SAO) underwent professional development trainings, which covered modern approaches to recent challenges in the fields of healthcare and education.
The practice of field training courses for state auditors is established by the US Government Accountability Office (GAO). The US experience was shared with colleagues by the Deputy Head of the Social Sector Audit Department, Mariam Zaalishvili who had participated in a four-month professional development program in GAO in 2019 and was also directly involved in auditory research.
More than 30 employees of the Social Sector Audit Department underwent trainings in the field of health and education.
The program, led by experienced health and education professionals, was organized by the Public Audit Institute (PAI) with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
