This year, 61 civil servants from 37 municipalities passed the internal audit training course 30 December, 2019

The Public Audit Institute awarded the graduates of internal audit training in Adjara with the certificates within the framework of the Adjara Municipal Development Training Course.

The training course, which was led by Kakhaber Kirtava, head of Audit Department in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara of the State Audit Office, was conducted with the involvement of more than 10 civil servants of Adjara A/R municipalities.

The training program was developed specifically for municipal staff, based on audit findings and recommendations from the audits conducted by the State Audit Office.

During the course, the participants were introduced to the basic principles of internal financial control system and international standards, risk-based approaches and internal legal regulations, as well as practical examples.

The Public Audit Institute has already conducted an internal audit training course for the municipalities of East and West Georgia.

This year, 61 civil servants from 37 municipalities passed the internal audit training course.
