The Public Audit Institute has launched internal audit training in Adjara as part of the Municipal Development Course. The training is being conducted in Batumi office of the State Audit Office (SAO) with the involvement of more than 20 civil servants from the municipalities of Adjara AR.
During the course, participants will learn about the basic principles and international standards of internal financial control system, risk-based approaches and internal legal regulations.
The purpose of the program is to prevent shortcomings identified in audits of the local municipalities by the SAO and to improve recommendation implementation rate.
The training is led by Kakhaber Kirtava, Head of Audit Department in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, who has many years of work experience in internal audit.
The Public Audit Institute will conduct a professional training course in Tbilisi office for the East Georgia Municipalities in December.
