15th plenary session of OECD -- Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (OECD-ACN) 24 March, 2015

On March 23-24, 15th plenary meeting organized by the OECD-ACN took place in Paris. At the plenary meeting, Georgia was presented by the Anti-Corruption Interagency Coordination Council and the State Audit Office.

The ACN plenary meeting consisted of two parts. First part of the meeting discussed the third round monitoring reports for Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine, and progress updates by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Progress updates were assessed by the ACN member states, evaluation mission experts da representatives of the local NGOs. Georgia was monitoring progress updates of Uzbekistan and Armenia. 

The second part of the meeting focused on the hearing of the evaluation report on implementation of the ACN Work Programme prepared by the external experts. Reports on the new Work Programme for 2016-2019 and anti-corruption results were also discussed at the meeting.

Anti-corruption reforms and progress updates in the public finance and state procurement spheres implemented by Georgia, were assessed positively at the plenary meeting. Anti-corruption reforms and progress updates serve for the improvement of the public finance resources and internal financial control, budget planning and ensuring accountability and transparency of spending process.
