A regular session of the Standing Working Group on Audit Reports was held in the Parliament, attended by the Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili, Head of the Performance Audit Department Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of the Economic Activities Audit Department Tornike Shermadini and auditors involved in the audit process.
At the meeting, the members of the working group discussed two audit reports: „Performance Audit Report on the Promotion of Occupational Safety Conditions” and „Compliance Audit Report on the LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture”.
Giorgi Kapanadze presented the „Performance Audit Report on the Promotion of Occupational Safety Conditions” and spoke about the prerequisites for the inspection of occupational safety norms, inspection planning indicators, preventive/scheduled inspections carried out by the Labour Inspection Office, incident statistics and recommendations issued during the audit process. According to the auditors, the implementation of the recommendations will improve the utilization of resources in the Labor Inspectorate, facilitate the collection and processing of comprehensive information on business entities, and support the service in creating methodological instructions.
Tornike Shermadini introduced the findings and recommendations of the „Compliance Audit Report on the LEPL Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture” to the members of the working group. Three recommendations have been issued within the remit of the report concerning the asset accounting, fuel consumption control and labor contracts.
Representatives of the auditees answered the questions of the MPs. They noted that they agree with the recommendations issued by the State Audit Office and presented the implementation statuses.
