USAID Mission Director, Peter Wiebler, and the Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili discussed the areas of cooperation related to the continued support from the USAID. Over the meeting, the parties summarized ongoing processes and results of the projects implemented by the State Audit Office with the support of USAID.
The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in Parliament held a regular session where state auditors presented two reports in the economic field.
SAO Georgia SDG audit team reviewed implementation of audit recommendations conducted in the scope of the Performance Audit of Preparedness for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (2018-2019) and corresponding improvements on the national level.
The State Audit Office participated in the Global Summit organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) discussing the impact of audits by the Supreme Audit Organizations hosted online by Norway.
To the members of the working group and the audit facilities, the auditors presented the findings and recommendations. Audit Facilities reprsentatives spoke about the status of implementation of audit recommendations and presented their views on the reports.
